Inspirational quotes can provide an energy booster for the soul.

For instance, let’s analyze this quote from one of the great success stories in literature of all time, the Russian writer, Fyodor Dostoevsky.

Inspirational quotes for achieving greater success

The more they worry about money, the more money problems they seem to attract.

“Money must be so far beneath a gentleman that it is hardly worth troubling about.”

I personally have discovered tremendous success wisdom in this quote, though it may not be directly related to the author’s meaning.

To achieve as much financial success as you want, being TOO concerned about money can prove self-sabotaging.

To achieve greater success, focus on your personal development, aimed at the fulfillment of your full potential.

Today, many people are looking for ways of making money in hard economic times.

But the more they worry about money, the more money problems they seem to attract.

Success seems to arrive when we are not feeling emotionally dependent.

One of the key elements in the wisdom of success is that you have to be having fun doing what you are doing.

You are certainly NOT having fun when you are feeling insecure about money.

Business opportunities seem to drop in our laps, when they happen.

Make it your focus to make a meaningful contribution to society.

Avoid the common mistake that causes failure of counting on positive anticipation.

The more you hope that you finally arrive at your big break, the more you program your subconscious to feel deprived, to feel depressed, to feel defeated when things don’t go exactly your way.  And these emotions hinder your ability to succeed greatly.

What you want to develop is a success mindset.  This means that you need to feel calm, feel secure, feel content while being alert in the present moment. This reveals your present opportunity, and this requires freedom from economic worries.

As I have said many times before: Financial insecurity is not a financial problem.  It is an emotional problem that manifests a financial problem.

To be successful, to manifest all the prosperity and accomplishment your heart desires, let go of worry about money, for it binds you to financial distress and blinds you to the path of wisdom for success.

As you let go of money worries, you will discover how living with more ease is one of the great keys for making more money.

Please in this blog share your thoughts about this self-help success tip about letting go of the emotional attachment to money as a key for making more money.

Worrying and feeling discouraged about your future will not help you one bit.

Positive Thinking

The more clearly and consistently you focus on your goal, and the more effective your action, the more quickly you can succeed.

They certainly are not what we can call “steps to success”!

On the contrary, they distract one’s focus and they drain one’s power, hindering successful action.

So why do people slip into worry and discouragement?

The answer is quite simple: HABIT.

Indulging in feelings of discouragement and insecurity is habitual.

And that habitual pattern may be all that prevents you from successful goal setting and goal accomplishment.

To be successful, one must take goal-directed action.

The more clearly and consistently you focus on your goal, and the more effective your action, the more quickly you can succeed.

But indulging worry and discouragement robs one of power, and less power translates into a more distracted and diffuse focus and weaker, less impactful action.

Understanding that worry and discouragement ARE habitual, and that they DON’T work, is a major step in gaining freedom to achieve your goals and objectives.

To gain that understanding, practice being more conscious of your present attitude.

You will soon recognize that the cause of a negative attitude is not one’s circumstances, but one’s pre-programmed habitual emotional reaction pattern.

Once you see this you have taken the first of 3 powerful steps for success.

The next step is to practice living in a state of peaceful confidence and contentment, particularly when you feel the urge to indulge in feelings of discouragement or insecurity.

Every moment you resist the urge to dwell in a negative emotional state you weaken the habit and strengthen your self-control.

Step three on the road to success is to get engaged in constructive work aimed at accomplishing your most important objective.

Every action you take for what you want builds up a momentum of actively working for it.  This makes it easier for you to continue working, and to work with more focus and power.

You can always take some form and degree of action in line with what you want to accomplish.

Following these 3 steps will bring success and free you from unhappy stress.

Marissa Mayer, Yahoo’s New CEO, Redefines Women Power

Marissa Mayer Named CEO of Yahoo

The whole world appears to be talking about Marissa Mayer – Google’s “first 20” employee – who has been appointed as first ever female CEO of Yahoo

“I’m incredibly excited to start my new role at Yahoo! Tomorrow”, a very excited Marissa Mayer tweeted on Monday, July 16, 2012.

The whole world appears to be talking about Marissa Mayer – Google’s “first 20” employee – who has been appointed as first ever female CEO of Yahoo.

The success story of Marissa Mayer started 13 years ago when she joined Google in 1999 as employee number 20 and the first female engineer. During her tenure of 13 years with Google, she handled different responsibilities including engineer, designer, product manager, and executive.

Marissa Mayer also donned vital responsibilities in Google Images, Google Books, Google Search, Google, Google Toolbar, iGoogle, Google News, Product Search and Gmail. At Google media events, she acted as the primary spokesperson – an expressive and enthusiastic advocate for company’s newest offerings. She excelled in every role she played and kept climbing the success ladder with self-belief and confidence as her success secrets.

In her last stint with Google, she was working as the Vice President of Local, Maps, and Location Services. Mayer along with other “smarty-pants upstarts” was instrumental in taking the search engine Google miles ahead of the now-flagging Yahoo during the initial days of Internet. Now, she has the tough task ahead to avert same disaster once she has caused to Yahoo.

“Marissa is a well-known, visionary leader in user experience and product design and one of Silicon Valley’s most exciting strategists in technology development,” Yahoo co-founder David Filo said in a statement. “I look forward to working with her to enhance Yahoo’s product offerings for our over 700 million unique monthly visitors.”

Marissa Mayer, who is expecting her first child in October, is all set to accept the new challenge of being a mother. Though it appears challenging for somebody heading Yahoo, a role that has come packed with myriad and tough challenges, Marissa’s confidence and enthusiasm portrays that she will handle this responsibility with same dignity and care as she has handled her earlier responsibilities at Google.

We expect her to emerge as a role model for working women, who are afraid of raising families for the sake of their career and personal growth.

Major Achievements of Marissa Mayer

Perseverance Key to Success

Every person faces hurdles while making his way to success but one who perseveres and conquers them, emerges as the winner

Mayer was listed in Fortune magazine’s annual list of America’s 50 Most Powerful Women in Business in 2008, 2009, 2010, and 2011 and was ranked 50, 44, 42 and 38, respectively. In 2008, at the age of 33, she became the youngest woman ever listed in the magazine.

According to Catalyst, she is only the 20th current female CEO of a Fortune 500 company. It makes her to join the elite club of most successful business women, which includes names like:

Meg Whitman – Meg Whitman is serving Hewlett-Packard Meg as the president and CEO.

Virginia Marie “Ginni” Rometty – Named to Fortune magazine’s “50 Most Powerful Women in Business” continuously for seven years, she is the first woman to head IBM.

Patricia Ann Woertz – She was appointed as the CEO of Archer Daniels Midland in 2006. In 2010, she was ranked the 3rd most powerful woman by Fortune magazine.

All these women, who have achieved such an exceptional success in the field previously dominated by males, have redefined women strength, skills and will power. Their sheer determination and desire to excel can put those people to shame who still refer women as the “weaker sex”.

Key to Success – Perseverance and Positive Thinking

The success of Marissa Mayer highlights the significance of focus, positive thinking, and determination. You should be very focused on your goal. Once you find your path, you should move towards your ultimate goal with steely determination, discipline, hard word, and a “can do-will do” approach.

Every person faces hurdles while making his way to success but one who fights and conquers them, emerges as the winner. Struggles and difficulties are the eligibility tests for success. Only those who pass these tests deserve to be on the other side.

Judy Garland – Wisdom of Handling Success Is Just As Important As Success Itself

Judy Garland

Judy Garland will be remembered for her accomplishments and the smiles that she brought on the faces of her fans. Photo Courtesy: wikipedia.org

Judy Garland, the name still evokes emotions in her fans, admirers and all those who have battled the odds to emerge victorious. She is a shining example of those who refused to succumb to insecurities and crippling problems and reached a level where they became an inspiration for others.

Judy Garland, who would have turned 90 years old this month, was remembered this week in Tony Awards 2012. Tracie Bennett, who portrayed Judy Garland in End of the Rainbow, presented a pre-show ritual for the show Just in Time as Judy Garland.

Talking about her performance, she told zap2it, “To go on, I put the shoes on, I put the engagement ring on, then the scarf and the hat. By the time the coat is on, I am finally confident that I am going into Judy.”

Judy Garland’s life was full of ups and downs. Despite battling insecurity about her appearance, financial instability, and alcohol and drug addiction, she continued to perform and rule the hearts of her hundreds of thousands followers through a career that spanned 45 of her 47 years as a musician, actress, recording artist, and live performer in concerts.

Appreciated for her versatility, she was a recipient of a Juvenile Academy Award, the Golden Globe Award, Grammy Awards, and a Special Tony Award. Judy Garland will be remembered for her accomplishments and the smiles that she brought on the faces of her fans.

The singer and actor who reached an outstanding career peak at a young age (“at 39 years of age, she remains the youngest recipient of the Cecil B. DeMille Award for lifetime achievement in the motion picture industry”) has always been inspired the youth and will continue to motivate aspirants who find it hard to regain their self confidence and positive thinking after initial failures.

Goal Achievement Comes From The Desire to Achieve Success

Never let failure or defeatism overcome your desire to achieve success.

Her tumultuous personal life which was plagued by drug abuse, financial troubles and failed marriages (she died at the age of 47 from an accidental drug overdose) remains a glaring example of how success, if not handled with wisdom, maturity and levelheadedness can lead to a premature, tragic end.

Success never comes easy. The road to success is covered with hard work, heart breaks, sometimes failures, and bitterness but there is always a way out. When a series of struggles deters your personal growth, it is the wisdom for success that drives you toward the actual success and goal achievement.

Never let failure or defeatism overcome your desire to achieve success. Fuel your desire with hard work and determination and keep moving toward your dreams and goals. The goal may appear distant but is accessible.

Goal Setting and Ripeness

goal setting with positive thinking

Exactly when goal setting will fully “bloom” into goal achievement depends upon the law of ripeness

There is an organic process at work in true goal setting and achievement.

The moment you conceive of the goal you want to accomplish, you have “planted” that idea in “the garden of creation”.

In other words, goal setting
equals goal “planting”.

Each time that you return to your vision of your goal, you “nurture” that seed with the energy of your attention, love and intention.

Each time that you take action for the goal that you have set for yourself, you further nurture it into fruition – into its fully blooming manifestation in your life.

Exactly when goal setting will fully “bloom” into goal achievement
depends upon the law of ripeness.

According to this law, conditions blossom from the potential to the actual when they have been nurtured by a sufficient amount of time and energy.

How can you tell when the time of ripeness has occurred? When the “fruit” is “easy picking”.

Struggling to make something happen is a sign
that conditions have not ripened sufficiently.

Just as forcing unripe fruit from a vine means that the fruit will be bitter, trying to force anything to happen means that the results will not be as sweet as if you gave things more time.

Goal setting sets into motion the organic process that naturally transforms the seed of your intention into the fruit of its manifestation.

Goal setting itself is
an organic process.

How do you come up with a goal in the first place?

Opening your mind and heart with the question, “What is it that I really want to accomplish?” prepares the rich “soil” of your mind for the “birth” of your goal-idea.

If you remain trusting, open and alert, you will see your goal your mind, in time.

Goal setting really begins with the intention to come up with a goal that you really want to accomplish.

motivational sayings

True genius characterizes the way my mind works

The following inspiring quotes provide examples of how to harness your mental power of self-fulfilling prophecy:

• “The person you think you are is the person you are becoming.”

• “Think of yourself as successful, prosperous, fearless and joyful to experience more of those qualities in yourself.”

Your thoughts about yourself are like views into the future of the person you will be.

But all too often we permit a disappointing, dismal view of our circumstances to define how we think of ourselves.

Use your thoughts to turn yourself into your higher potential, which will, in turn, turn your life into ITS higher potential.

Use motivational sayings about yourself, like these, to help you SEE and BE the greater you:

I remain confident and steady through life’s ups and downs.

• I demonstrate the highest levels of skill in my work.

• True genius characterizes the way my mind works.

• I live in love always.

Based on the message presented in the inspiring quotes that opened this blog entry how would you like to change the way you think of yourself?

Make a list of 10 thinks about yourself that you would love to be true and feel welcome to share them in this blog?

To even KNOW what you think of yourself you have to pay close attention to your thoughts.

You may discover to your surprise that you sometimes, or even routinely, think of yourself as inadequate, unworthy, unsuccessful, or even helpless.

Here are two more inspiring quotes for self-growth:

“The instant you notice yourself thinking negatively of yourself, let that thought go and you let that disappointing version of yourself go.”

• “Spend some time everyday intentionally envisioning yourself as the person you would love to be, to be that person.”

Self growth for success

When you feel calm you can trust in the infinite goodness that life offers, and begin experiencing more fulfillment in the present

Here are some encouraging quotes about the success-power of peace:

1. Only in peace can you express genuine loving kindness, and only as you express genuine loving kindness can you forge positive relationships that really support your success.

2. When we live in peace we can be sensitive to what others need.  And the foundation of success is meeting other people’s needs.

An essential aspect of self-growth for success is developing your ability to live and work in peace.

Of course you can push yourself a bit from time to time, for a short burst of progress.  But a steady, daily “diet” of stress prevents you from finding and following your path to TRUE success – success that really fulfills you.

What are your reasons (excuses!) for living in too much stress and strain?

Define what a truly successful life means to you. Does it include living in so much stress that you feel unhappy, burdened, frustrated?

In this blog, share your thoughts and questions about
how stress impacts your life and what you can do about it?

Here are two more encouraging quotes that connect peace with success:

  • When you feel calm you can trust in the infinite goodness that life offers, and begin experiencing more fulfillment in the present.

  • When you permit yourself to live and work in a calm state, you feel spiritually nurtured at a deep level, and discover that conditions often seem to work out well on their own.

Turn each day into an exercise in self-growth aimed at developing the habit of functioning calmly under all circumstances.

Review the encouraging quotes about the calm path to success presented in this blog to help you to succeed in peace.

Think About Personal Development

Enlightened thinking for personal development

Employ the positive power of enlightened thinking by using thought to advance your personal development

One of the great stages of personal development  arrives when we begin employing the creative power of thought with a high level of intention. We can call this the practice of enlightened thinking.

Enlightened thinking means that your thoughts are guided by wisdom, by an enlightened realization of how to use thought for the good of yourself and others.

Before this stage of personal development has been reached, our thinking is run by mental habits, emotional reactions, or whatever happens to attract our attention. We can describe this as UNenlightened thinking.

You apply enlightened thinking by
directing the creative power of
thought, instead of allowing your
mind to be occupied by
whatever thought happens
to show up in your head.

One spectacular application of enlightened thinking involves using thought to advance personal development.

The pursuit of personal development represents an important stage of enlightenment: the realization that your level of success will rise as you raise your level of ability.

As you pay attention to your daily living experiences
you will be guided by wisdom to grow, to change,
to develop or to improve particular abilities.

By intentionally thinking about or envisioning the forms that you want your personal development to take, you harness the power of enlightened thinking to develop the powers that will help you achieve your life-goals.

For instance, let’s say that you are tired of feeling down, that you want to be more positive, more joyful.  To advance in that direction, intentionally and frequently think about yourself in a more positive state.

As you think about living with more positive energy, you develop UNCONDITIONAL joy, love, peace, faith and exuberant vitality.  Your spirit does not have to be dampened by circumstances. You can soar into your destiny.

Employ the positive power of enlightened thinking by using thought to advance your personal development.
